Posthumanism or Ecohumanism? Environmental Studies in the Anthropocene

The paper discusses two of the currently most influential discourses in environmental humanities, posthumanism and Anthropocene, light concept ‘ecohumanism’ suggested by title present new journal. This resonates with approach a cultural ecology literary studies which takes an in-between stance between radically ecocentric narrowly anthropocentric humanism. addresses four different domains such ecologically redefined humanism can productively respond to some paradoxes unresolved questions current studies: (1) ambiguous role science search for valid basis scholarly truth-claims; (2) question subject, personal vs. impersonal agency; (3) archive past Anthropocene thought writing; (4) relation human non-human, future (eco-)humanism Anthropocene.
